Walking through Olmos Park; it's a nice way to end a weekend.

Out and About South Texas

Soooo, today we headed out on a wildflower hunt. It's picture taking time in south Texas.  The spring has been too dry and the flowers aren't as plentiful as they have been.  One good rain though..... we could have a bumper crop.

Since we were so close, we headed on over to Choke Canyon Lake.

And then on up the road to the Medina River Natural Area.

Rocket really enjoyed the doggy water fountains.  This ia great idea!!!!

SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!

Rocket and I have been been touring the parkways around town over the break.  I have a new lens for my camera and need to practice with it.

Rocket doesn't care, it means he gets a walk.  And a sniff.  And a walk and sniff, sniff, sniff.
That dog smells EVERYTHING we pass.

He doesn't like to stop, but now and then he will pose for a photo.

We enjoy the flowers.  Now that it's spring, the wildflowers are popping up everywhere.

Birds are singing.  I love cardinals, but they are HARD to catch being still.

A nice sunset caps off an evening walk.

And finding clover on St. Patrick's Day made the morning walk perfect!

Spring!!!!!!!!!

We celebrated spring today by going to Blanco State Park.  A pretty park that winds along the Blanco River, Rocket wandered the nature trail, had lunch and generally enjoyed the promise of warm, pretty weather.
